Farida was born in Tunduru in South Tanzania in 1974. After she attended the primary school in Mtonya she set out to Dar es Salaam where she has her sister. First she took different jobs but then she decided to paint as her family member. She started to paint in 2000. Her teacher was Issa Thabiti. She has 4 children and she lives in Kinondoni. She is expert in painting different Tingatinga designs on carved objects.
